LOS ANGELES, CA – Originally from Manassas, Virginia, Hip-Hop artist King K1o5e has been dedicated to music over a long period of time. The artist began delving into music at the young age of 12 years old, and recalls it being a pivotal moment in his life. As his family was heavily involved with music, he became a product of his environment when he decided he would later make a career out of his passion. Whether it be attending studio sessions or going to festivals, the artist followed wherever the music was.
As music served as an outlet for King K1o5e, he remembers how he would use music as an escape route from all that was going on in his life at the time. The artist would actively participate in local talent shows, where he further utilized his musical outlet to persevere through any of the troubles that were thrown his way. In his younger years, King K1o5e clung to Tupac’s music, as the rap star played a huge, influential role in his life. King K1o5e often looked up to the old-school rap artists that were on the scene before his time, like LL Cool J, as their overall aesthetic and sound appealed to the artist.
As King K1o5e grew older, he remained diligent and committed to making his music career grow. The artist currently has two major projects out right now: “Love of the Xamera” and “Hell Yeah”. A song based on the artist’s musical background and dedication to his own label, “Love of the Xamera” has grossed over 60,000 hits. His other major project, “Hell Yeah”, tells the story of his street team and label’s overall appreciation for King K1o5e, which is something the artist is very thankful for.
The work doesn’t stop for King K1o5e, as he is already working on two future singles. “These two songs I’m working on right now… I really care about,” the artist said. One of the tracks is titled “Pain”, which features a duet between King K1o5e and a fellow artist from his label, Blocksmith Entertainment. The other song, “Settle Down”, will feature the artist’s solo musical talent, as it tells the story of past relationships that did not turn out so well.
“If you want to hear something that will uplift you and make you feel good, you’ll want to listen to me,” said King K1o5e. As he has major plans in the work for his musical career and label, he can’t wait for the world to hear more from his repertoire.
