BOSTON, MA – Boston native and rapper Mr. Montega Man is no stranger to fighting for his place at the top. The artist, who has lived a colorful –albeit difficult – life and overcome great obstacles to achieve things beyond the realm of impossible, Montega Man found his start in music by opening for some of music’s most powerful presences. Though his humble beginnings opening for big names was influential and inspiring, he soon thirsted for more – to make the move from opening act to the main stage. Mr. Montega Man has performed and collaborated with the iconic rapper French Montana and DJ Khaled, where the trip collaborated on “Rockstar Life,” which quickly became college radio’s #3 hit single. In the summer of 2016, Montega’s project, a music video entitled “Trickin’” with Lil Flip and Lil Scrappy garnered over a million views, and continues to climb.
Montega is now prepared to make his mark on the trap community yet again with his latest project, a strip club number, “Sippin.’” The song celebrates the art of clubbing and having a good time, and though the artist hasn’t drank alcohol in some time, he uses alcohol as a metaphor in his song – comparing it to women and the party lifestyle. “I make music to turn up to,” explains the trap artist.
